As you all may know, I love fashion, like I’m obsessed, but to be honest I don’t take risks or venture out of my comfort zone half as much as I should.
A few weeks ago I took the time to sort through my wardrobe to have it A/W ready and I ended up throwing out everything. It was safe to say I was stuck in a major rut and was ready for change. Since then I’ve started to build up my wardrobe again; you can see the pieces here.
Then the opportunity arose to collaborate with Dresses.ie and I jumped at the chance to try some looks out.
To stick to my new rule of breaking out of my comfort zone more, I chose pieces I wouldn’t have necessarily chosen in the past and I’m so glad I did. I’m obsessed with this dress!!
Dress – Dresses.ie
Boots – New Look
Earrings – Dorothy Perkins
Belt & Nails – Penneys
I chose this dress for a number of reasons; it’s versatile, flattering, has a gorgeous print and is a great transitional piece.
As I’m not the tallest, I was afraid that this dress might wear me but it’s all about how you style it. To give myself some definition, I added a belt to pull the dress in and emphasis my waist.
The dress already has an elasticated piece around the waist but I wanted it to be a little tighter so for those of you trying to hide your stomach area, this dress would be very flattering.
The give the dress more of an edgy look I paired it with some patent black boots to fit into this seasons trends but this dress would look equally as good with some strappy heels to take you to an occasion. To me it’s the perfect dress to take you from day to night.
I’m so excited to wear it again.
Love, Laura x
