The Body Shop Japanese Matcha Tea Face Mask || Review

The Body Shop brand is something I’m seeing everywhere lately; every time I open up social media there’s someone talking about their new favourite product, and with good reason.

If you have ever walked past The Body Shop without going in, I applaud your strength. I get sucked in everytime. From their packaging to the UNBELIEVABLE smell of their products, I adore them. And that’s just the start; their products are extremely kind to and good for the skin.

My newest obsession? The Japanese Matcha Tea Pollution Clearing Mask.

On a recent trip to The Body Shop to repurchase my favourite mask, the Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask, my attention was stolen. I mean, I wouldn’t be doing my job right if I didn’t test them all out, right?!

My Skin Concerns

I have combination skin. My T-Zone can get quite oily and the rest of my skin can look quite dull at times.

After a summer of applying tan to my face, my skin is really feeling the effects. Recently, I have had a few breakouts and impurities trapped underneath the skin. Even the kindest of face tans can prove too much when you overuse them.

I needed something to detoxify my pores and refresh my skin and this mask certainly delivers.

It delivers as promised. My skin felt amazing!! For about an hour after removing the mask I could still feel the minty fresh feeling, like my skin could breathe properly for the first time in ages.

In terms of my skin concerns, I felt like my skin had been given a deep clean. My skin also looked so bright and revived.

Facial after Facial:

After just three uses of this mask, along with my normal skin routine, which you can read about here, my skin started to clear. The impurities had been drawn out of my skin and the breakouts were reduced to the healing stage. I’m excited to see the long term effects given the progression of my skin thus far.

Mask can be used 2/3 times a week for 5-10 minutes, depending on your skin needs.

You can pick it up in store or online for €25.

Happy Pampering!

Love, Laura X
