If you’ve followed my blog for a while now, you will know I’m OBSESSED when it comes to skincare. It’s something I’ll happily spend money on time after time, and good job too because there’s a lot of trial and error when it comes to getting products that suit and work for your skin.
Writing about skincare is such a scary thing because what works for me might not work for you and that is something I’m very conscious of, especially considering how expensive quality skincare is.
I will however do my best to show all sides; I will tell you its benefits, how it worked for me, elements I wasn’t so keen on and hopefully it might make your choice a little easier when shopping around for products.
At 27 I’m very conscious about my skincare routine, especially what I use around my eyes. Eye products are definitely the most changable part in my routine. Whenever I run out or I see a product I like the look of, I get it. I mainly go for serums as they go deep into the layers of the skin but when I read about the Kielh’s Avocado Eye Cream I was too intrigued to pass it up.
Benefits of the Kielh’s Avocado Eye Cream
Its creamy texture is formulated with Avocado Oil, Beta-Carotene and Shea Butter to give your skin a burst of hydration.
Avocado Oil is rich in fatty acids, amino acid proteins, vitamins A, D, E and potassium. All the ingredients needed for healthy skin!
Beta-Carotene is an antioxidant which reduces the signs of aging by reducing damage to the skin cells.
Shea Butter is known for it’s hydrating properties.
How It’s Working For Me
I have been using this cream for about 5 weeks now and it’s only in the last week or so that I’ve come around to liking it.
I absolutely hated it at first. I really didn’t like how it felt and to be honest I didn’t think it would so anything for my skin. After spending €28 on it I was definitely going to plough through though and I’m glad I did.
First of all, a little goes a way long and there’s never been a product more suited to the saying. When applying, dap along your orbital bone and allow to melt into the skin for a few seconds. When I first used it I tried rubbing it in but, nothing; it won’t budge. I found letting it melt on the skin for a few seconds and dapping the area with your finger really helped the product absorb into the skin.
It haven’t noticed any change to my dark circles but the skin around my eyes definitely look more hydrated, especially when wearing make up because, lets face it, those tiny fine lines are starting to appear.
Where To Buy
I bought my cream directly from the Kielh’s store in Dundrum but there are plenty of online stockists in Ireland. It’s currently on sale on the Debenhams site right now. It normally retails at €28 and is down to €23.80.
Have you tried the Kiehl’s Avocado Eye Cream yet or are you a fan of any of their other products, I’d love some recommendations?
